[Kitodo] Marc-Plugin für Kitodo Production

Dear mr Schuster, dear colleagues,


the MarcPlugin maps marc fields to Kitodo metadata fields directly and does not use DC in any way. Build on the PicaPlugin? Yes and no. An analysis of the PicaPlugin was essential for the implementation, but the MarcPlugin shares very little code with the PicaPlugin.

We have a first working version in our fork of Kitodo.Production, if it is to interest to anyone: https://github.com/tuub/kitodo-production/tree/marc_plugin/Goobi/plugins/opac/MarcPlugin

As I said, it works properly, but it is not quite finished. We still have some testing and reviewing to do. Any comments are most welcome.

This is of interest to me!  Crosswalking the MARC fields to DC may be some of the challenges and the mapping you decide on.  You could build on the PICA plugin maybe?
