Im Programm steht dieses:

         /* Map protocol name to protocol number */
        if ( (ppe = getprotobyname(protocol)) == 0) {
                printf("initialise_socket:can't get \"%s\" protocol entry\n", 
                      protocol);

und es ist in dem Moment  protocol="tcp".
Kann es sein, dass auf dem betr. Linux das tcp-Protokoll nicht eingerichtet ist?
